Nick Jones: Vice President, Technology
N. D. Jones is the Vice President of Technology since July 2003. Mr. Jones is responsible for SafePlug product development.
Uniquely, his background has focused exclusively on design engineering & management throughout his 24-year career. Mr. Jones has a broad knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, real-time / safety-critical firmware and application software design. He also has a deep understanding of fast prototyping methods and intellectual property.
Mr. Jones consistently innovates new solutions and implements practical and manufacturable designs. Prior, he served as Senior Developer for SST (now a division of Molex) for 17 years. In addition to his electrical expertise, Mr. Jones is considered a world expert in industrial control systems and communication protocols. He served as the Chief Technical Officer of the ODVA, directing the technology for DeviceNet industrial protocol implementations for seven years.
Mr. Jones is named on numerous United States patents and pending patent applications, including several patents on advanced features of the SafePlug electrical safety system.
