Steven Montgomery: Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Steven Montgomery is Executive VP for 2D2C Inc and President of OFI Inc, the operations arm of 2D2C Inc, since August 2002. Mr. Montgomery is responsible for intellectual property, product development, manufacturing, marketing, sales and customer service. Under his direction, the company has developed the SafePlug product line under budget. SafePlug receptacles have been helping to prevent fires and electrical shocks since 2006.

Mr. Montgomery’s work experience includes President, Vice President and Board of Directors positions within electrical, enterprise software and technology manufacturing organizations. Throughout his 30-year career, he has consistently achieved corporate growth and profit objectives via strong leadership, sales & marketing expertise and follow-through.

As President of SST Company (now a division of Molex), Mr. Montgomery focused the business, structured teams, and initiated profitability programs to quickly turn around the company from loss to profits. He managed design engineering, manufacturing, logistics, marketing, sales, finance, and human resources by clearly setting vision and strategies.

As VP Technology for Woodhead Industries, he led a select team for ultra-fast, low-cost development and launch of successful new products.

For ten years prior, he managed sales for Aspen Technologies (enterprise software) and for LeCroy Corporation (precision test equipment). In these roles, Mr. Montgomery grew sales at over 100% per year, in both adverse economies and highly competitive environments. He has also worked in international, marketing, engineering, and manufacturing operations and in both publicly-traded and start-up companies. 

Mr. Montgomery received an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Washington and was licensed as a Professional Engineer in Washington State. He is one of the inventors of 2D2C Inc patented technologies. Mr. Montgomery is a member of the following safety and technology organizations:
