For new work, RFPs, or a forwarded brief. Triaged by Maya and Daniel directly — no account manager in between. Include a one-paragraph summary, a link, and a deadline if there is one.
Write the studioThirty minutes with a founding partner — Maya Okafor or Daniel Vasquez — to pressure-test the brief, name the constraints, and decide whether 2D2C is the right studio to ship it. No deck, no qualification script, no follow-up sequence.
We've staffed enough of these calls to know the senior buyer's real objection: not "can you do the work" but "will the studio I meet on the call be the studio that ships the work." So the answer is yes — Maya or Daniel runs every scoping conversation themselves, and the partner who takes your call is the partner who runs the project if we both say yes.
Here's the shape of the half hour. The first ten minutes are yours: walk us through the product, the audience, the constraint that's actually keeping you up at night. The next fifteen minutes are ours: we push back on the scope, name what's likely to slip, and give you a directional read on effort, team shape, and a budget range — not a padded estimate, a real one. The last five minutes are open: questions about how we work, what week three looks like, who writes the code, how we hand off. If the fit isn't right, we'll tell you, and we'll point you to a studio we trust.
Bring a brief if you have one, slides if you live in slides, or just a Notion doc with three paragraphs — whatever carries the thinking. No prep deck required. We do not record the call. We do not send a recap email unless you ask for one.
No forms, no chatbots, no round-trip through an SDR. Pick the channel you prefer — a real person on the senior team picks it up.

Write the studioDirect line to the studio, not a switchboard. If we miss you — we ship between calls — leave a number and a one-line summary; we call back same day, every time.
Call the studioA live calendar — no email tag required. Pick any open 30-minute slot over the next two weeks. Either Maya or Daniel takes the call. Both are on the same calendar; the partner who takes it ships it.
Open the calendarThe studio sits above the Jay St–Metrotech stop, a single subway ride from Manhattan. Visits are by appointment — we keep the room clear when founders come in, and we walk the wall of shipped work while we talk.
Request a visitMaya Okafor, co-founder and design partner — 14 years at IDEO and Frog before 2D2C. Leads strategy, research, and design engagements across SaaS and FinTech.
Daniel Vasquez, co-founder and engineering partner — 12 years building shipped product at scale. Leads technical engagements and runs code review on every project we ship.
The partner who takes your scoping call is the partner who runs your project. No bait-and-switch, no junior handoff after the contract is signed.
No prep required. No pitch deck. One founder-to-founder conversation about whether the work is the work we do best — and what week one would actually look like if it is.
